SAP Implementation for a Global Automobile Company

Business Problem

In the last 3 years, the client had grown from operating a single plant to 4 plants in India and were having challenges with the procurement process. The client wanted a robust ERP system to manage the growing demands as the custom system they had in place was inadequate.

One of the key requirements was to integrate organizational business processes with data flows between different modules and interfaces. The client also wanted to eliminate the manual procedure of preparing balance sheets and profit & loss accounts. Additionally, they also thought to improve the Bill of Material (BOM) management by having a centralized maintenance system and by increasing its accuracy.


NTT DATA’s business analysts implemented the SAP ECC 6.0 end-to-end business solution with seamless integration to the client’s existing global systems.

Implemented the SAP Material Requisition Planning (MRP) which is critical for manufacturing units, to manage overall procurement, production, and consumption.

Developed custom ABAP Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).
